CONCLUSION |
| "Theory" After completing this webquest, you should understand that science is based on theories and that developing a scientific theory takes time, cooperation and a great amount of evidence. You should understand, also, that as time marches on, and new evidence is gathered, theories can change. "Change Over Time" Species extinction has occurred many times throughout Earth's history and will continue into the future. Through this webquest "journey," you should have gained new insight into this phenomenon. While the Earth has existed for over 4.6 billion years, species have come and gone. Can you predict the future of Earth's living inhabitants of today? Do you recognize the variables that can affect the longevity of a species? The key to a species existence can be summed up in one word. That word is adaptation. |
